Artem Garibov is an artist based in New York City. While trained as an architect, he remained devoted to developing his unique artistic style, experimenting with color and technique.
Ever since I can remember, I've always been drawing: in children's albums, school notebooks, and, of course, on canvas and professional paper. Practical exercises were accompanied by an in-depth acquaintance with the creative legacy of past masters, as well as the works of contemporary painters and graphic artists. Thus, art became my natural habitat—my air, my spiritual nourishment, my very life. Even after receiving my degree in architecture, I remained true to my purely artistic inclinations, continuing to search for my individual style as an artist and experimenting with color. Developing my own technical techniques sparked my imagination; however, I fully admit that imagination was likely primary in this complex, elusive process. Stylistic ideas swirled, clashed with each other, but never suppressed one another. From their variety and diversity, something new would later emerge, giving rise to another wave of creativity, fueled by my inner experiences. There is nothing original in these creative stages; they are natural and well known to every true artist. True art is born from the struggles of self-discovery, from the artist's desire to understand and accept the world around him. And I continue down this thorny path, anticipating new discoveries for myself...
